ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â to hold orientation for free GED preparation classes- The Adult Opportunity Center (AOC) at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College is offering a January orientation for new program enrollees in basic academic skills, GED preparation, and college readiness.
Simulator added to ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â’s health sciences programs- Students in ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College’s health sciences programs will gain an increasingly realistic lab experience thanks to the addition of new Human Patient Simulator (HPS).
New truck driver training program offers free tuition and job opportunity- To help encourage and promote careers in truck driving, Schneider—one of the nation’s largest truckload carriers—is offering a Contract Training Program in conjunction with ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College’s Truck Driving Academy (TDA).

Bob McEwen sworn in as ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â trustee- At the Nov. 12 meeting of the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College Board of Trustees, Fayette County Probate Court Judge David B. Bender presided over the swearing in of Bob McEwen whose appointment fills one of four vacancies on the college’s board.

This is the advice that Kelly Collison, Associate Director of Programming for Dress for Success Cincinnati, repeated to guests at Highland County’s first ever Dress for Success event held Thursday at the Highland County Training and Employment Center (Hi-TEC) in Hillsboro.
Bob McEwen appointed as ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State trustee- Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich’s office has announced an appointment to the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College Board of Trustees. Hillsboro native Bob McEwen will serve for a term continuing through May 11, 2018.

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â shocks PSU-GA in sudden death overtime- In its second game of the season, the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College soccer team defeated Penn State University – Greater Allegheny Aug. 31 in a sudden death overtime thriller.
ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â falls to PSU-NK in season opener- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College’s soccer team kicked off the 2014 season Aug. 30 at Penn State University (New Kensington) in Pennsylvania.

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â expands bachelor, master degree opportunities to Fayette County- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College is expanding its partnership with Lindsey Wilson College (LWC) to offer advanced degrees in Fayette County. Classes begin Friday, Aug. 29.
Sears signs Letter of Intent to play ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â basketball- Hillsboro High School standout Wesley Sears has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College.
ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â Respiratory Care celebrates graduation- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College’s eighth graduating class in the respiratory care program was honored during a recent ceremony on the college’s Central Campus in Hillsboro.

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â Theatre presents 'Macbeth' July 25-27- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â Theatre will present William Shakespeare’s "Macbeth," at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and Saturday, July 26, and at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 27, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on the Central Campus.

- COLUMBUS – State finance expert and veteran public higher education advocate Jack Hershey has been named the new President and CEO of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges (OACC).
Murray signs Letter of Intent to play ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â basketball- Clermont Northeastern High School standout Zach Murray has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College.
Ladrach posthumously conferred title of ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â Faculty Emeritus- As a tribute to the legacy of the late Professor Samuel N. Ladrach, Ph.D., the ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College Board of Trustees voted May 2 to confer upon him the title of Faculty Emeritus.
Info session set May 29 for ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â’s electromechanical degree- Through a partnership between ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College and the DP&L Generation Center, students can earn an associate degree in Electromechanical Engineering or take general education courses that will fit into most academic pathways, all at the site in Manchester.
Info session for ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â, Scioto Tech partnership set for May 28- Through a partnership between ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College and Scioto County Career Technical Center, students can now earn an associate degree in Computer Information Technology, Law Enforcement, or LPN-RN, all on the Scioto Tech site in Lucasville.

ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â students named to All-Ohio Academic Team- Sixty of the highest achieving community-college students from around Ohio were honored Wednesday, April 30, as part of the All-Ohio Academic Team Awards. Seven students from ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College were included in the honors.

Atrium Medical Center donates equipment to ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State- Atrium Medical Center recently donated a BiPAP machine to the respiratory care program at ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College.

Education fares well in Governor’s annual address- In his fourth State of the State address, Gov. John Kasich placed high importance on learning initiatives in Ohio, specifically citing the move to performance-based funding and the community college's role in workforce development, college credit in high school, and GED attainment.
ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â deemed eligible for Community College Excellence prize- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College was one of 150 colleges nationwide determined eligible to apply for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence.
ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State announces new GED site in Bethel- ÑÇÉ«Ó°¿â State Community College announces the opening of a new GED preparation site in Bethel.
