ÑÇɫӰ¿â partners with Franklin University to offer bachelor’s degree
- Franklin University and ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College (ÑÇɫӰ¿â) hosted an event Dec. 6 to officially mark the signing of the co-location agreement between the two institutions which will allow the offering of Franklin classes at ÑÇɫӰ¿â’s Fayette Campus in Washington Court House.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â hosts free "Astronomy is for All" event on Dec. 6

Food Processing & Technology now offered at ÑÇɫӰ¿â
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College announces the launch of a new associate of applied science (A.A.S.) degree program in Food Processing & Technology.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â to offer dental assistant, veterinary training programs
- Through a partnership with Boston Reed College, ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College now provides continuing education programs in dental assistant and veterinary assistant training.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â faculty honored by higher education council
- The Southwestern Ohio Council for Higher Education (SOCHE) recently recognized three ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College faculty members for excellence in teaching.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Singers to present Dec. 9 concert
- The ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Singers will present their 14th annual Christmas concert 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 234 N. High St., Hillsboro.

- The Patri-Tots Learning Center at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Central Campus in Hillsboro has earned a 100-percent licensing compliance inspection rating with the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â welcomes Montpelier archaeologist for Nov. 13 event
- Specializing in American slave sites, archaeologist Matt Reeves, Ph.D., will present "Archaeology at James Madison’s Montpelier: Rediscovering and Restoring the Madison Plantation Landscape" 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in the auditorium on ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Central Campus.

- The Student Success Committee of the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Board of Trustees will meet 1–2:30 p.m., Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, in Room 106 of the college’s Central Campus.

'Knockemstiff' author to kick off ÑÇɫӰ¿â Reading Series on Nov. 8
- Award-winning author Donald Ray Pollock will kick off the new Reading Series at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College with a tour stop 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in the Lecture Hall on the college’s Central Campus.

AmeriCorps volunteers mentoring students at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State
- Three recent graduates have returned to ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College this fall to serve as College Completion Coaches dedicated to supporting first-time students who are enrolled in developmental education courses to earn a certificate or degree.
Coyotes topic of Sept. 27 event at ÑÇɫӰ¿â South Campus

Pell, Hall sworn in as ÑÇɫӰ¿â State trustees
- At the Sept. 12 meeting of the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Board of Trustees, Adams County Judge Alan Foster presided over the swearing in of new trustee Mike Pell of Adams County and reappointed trustee Paul Hall of Brown County.
Progress on ÑÇɫӰ¿â’s plan for new campus in Mt. Orab
- With a projected opening for Fall 2014, ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College is making steady progress on plans for its newest campus along state Route 32 in Mt. Orab.
"The Hillsboro Story" – Civil rights drama comes to ÑÇɫӰ¿â State
- Susan Banyas will bring a theatrical performance of "The Hillsboro Story" back to its namesake town 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Central Campus.

ÑÇɫӰ¿â soccer sabotaged at Mid Michigan Community College
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s men’s soccer team fell 0–2 to Mid Michigan Community College in Mt. Pleasant, Mich., on Aug. 25.
"A Doll’s House" auditions Sept. 7 at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â Theatre will host open auditions for the upcoming fall production of Henrik Ibsen’s "A Doll’s House."
U.S. Bank makes donation to ÑÇɫӰ¿â Foundation
- U.S. Bank has been a significant contributor to ÑÇɫӰ¿â State, totaling more than $15,000 in donation over the years resulting in numerous scholarships to ÑÇɫӰ¿â State students.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â soccer begins 2012 season with a win
- On Aug. 24, the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Patriots men’s soccer team made the five-hour trip to Lansing, Mich., where they defeated Great Lakes Christian College (2011 NCCAA II regional semifinalists) by a score of 4–1.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â Basic Peace Officers complete training
- The cadets of ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Basic Peace Officers Training Program were recognized at a special ceremony held August 16 at the college’s Fayette Campus in Washington Court House.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â State’s practical nursing program honors 39 graduates
- The 45th graduating class of ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s practical nursing program was honored during a special pinning ceremony held August 10 on the college’s Central Campus in Hillsboro.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â Board of Trustees committee to meet Aug. 24
- The Long-Term Planning/Facilities Committee of the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Board of Trustees will meet 9 a.m., Friday, Aug. 24, 2012, in Room 305 of the college’s Central Campus.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â launches new dental, veterinary training programs
- Through a partnership with Boston Reed College, a national education provider, ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College is now able to provide healthcare training programs that prepare students for job opportunities in the growing allied health industry.

- The ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Board of Trustees will meet 6 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, in Room 303 on the college’s North Campus.
Adams County man appointed as ÑÇɫӰ¿â trustee
- Ohio Gov. John R. Kasich’s office has filled an open seat on the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Board of Trustees with the appointment of Michael P. Pell of West Union in Adams County.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â electromechanical engineering degree offered in Manchester
- Three local institutions have partnered to offer an Electromechanical Engineering degree in Manchester and those interested can learn more about it during an Aug. 1 tour and informational session.
Wells introduced as new ÑÇɫӰ¿â women’s basketball coach
- Matt Wells will take the helm as the new head coach of women’s basketball at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College. Wells is a veteran on the court, with coaching credentials at Mt. Orab Junior High, Western Brown High School, Williamsburg High School, Amelia High School and, most recently, as the varsity coach of East Clinton High School.
McAvene takes helm as new ÑÇɫӰ¿â men’s basketball coach
- Travis McAvene has been named the new head coach for men’s basketball at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College. McAvene brings a strong reputation of winning basketball games and coaching elite talent.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â Great Strides event raises $4,000 for Cystic Fibrosis
- The weather was perfect for the Great Strides: Taking Steps to Cure Cystic Fibrosis event held recently at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Fayette Campus in Washington Court House.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â Patri-Tots’ Summer Fest slated for July 21
- The Patri-Tots Learning Center will host a Summer Fest open house from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, at the North Campus location.
HUBZone workshop offered free at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College is hosting a free Small Business Administration (SBA) "HUBZone Boot Camp" from 9–11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 11, at the college’s Enterprise Center.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â Theatre presents "Annie" Aug. 3–5
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â Theatre will present the classic, family–friendly musical "Annie" Aug 3–5 in the Edward K. Daniels Auditorium on ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Central Campus.

ÑÇɫӰ¿â’s Adult Opportunity Center holds recognition celebration
- Area residents who passed the General Education Development (GED) test were honored June 14 at the 24th annual Adult Opportunity Center’s Recognition Celebration at ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s Central Campus in Hillsboro.
Area college students inducted into PTK honor society
- The membership of one of higher education’s most recognized honor societies, Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), was enhanced by the induction of several new members at a June 15 ceremony on the Central Campus of ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College.
ÑÇɫӰ¿â State announces honors list for spring quarter
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College has released its president’s and dean’s list for academic excellence for spring quarter 2012.
Carver addresses largest graduating class in ÑÇɫӰ¿â history
- ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College’s 37th annual commencement exercises were held June 8 in the Patriot Center on ÑÇɫӰ¿â’s Central Campus in Hillsboro.

- Kayla Deatley, a graduate of Hillsboro High School, signed a National Letter of Intent to play softball for the ÑÇɫӰ¿â State Community College Patriots.
